About Matthew:

She hopes to further explore applications of computer models and machine learning to segment and track these microglial interactions. Outside of the lab Alex loves running (particularly in the mountains), cross country skiing, and baking chocolate chip cookies.

She has research experience in rearing and dissecting mosquitos in the Matthews Lab (UBC), and running code and performing analysis on ALS-targeted data in the Gorassini Lab (UofA).
